Pet-Friendly Vacation Rental in St. Augustine, Florida
A genuinely pet-friendly Lincolnville farmhouse — not a checkbox listing. Three-sided fenced yard, dog amenities ready when you arrive, and walking distance to more dog-welcoming patios than any other St. Augustine neighborhood.
Genuinely dog-friendly — not a checkbox
Most St. Augustine vacation rentals that list as “pet-friendly” mean: we’ll allow a dog if you pay an extra $200 cleaning fee. We took a different approach. Our home was designed from day one to host dogs alongside their humans — the floors are sealed concrete that handles muddy paws, the sofa has a washable throw, the front yard is fenced, and the welcome basket includes things your dog actually needs.
Two dogs maximum, $100 flat fee per dog (not per night), and you don’t need to email us a photo of your dog before booking. We trust you. What we provide on arrival:
- Stainless-steel water and food bowls in the kitchen
- Two dog towels by the back door
- Washable cotton throw on the sofa — for dog snuggles, guilt-free
- A printed list of nearby dog-friendly restaurants, parks, and beaches
- WhatsApp number for the local emergency vet (24-hour clinic, eight minutes away)
Three-sided fence, oak shade, room to sniff
The front yard is fenced on three sides with a 4-foot wood privacy fence. The fourth side opens onto the front porch — most dogs respect the porch line, but if your dog is a known sprinter or jumper, plan to leash for the first hour while they settle. The grass is real, not turf. The live oak provides shade most of the day.
- ♦ Approximately 600 sq ft of fenced grass
- ♦ Two adirondacks for humans, one fire pit
- ♦ Quiet residential street — no through traffic
- ♦ Outdoor water spigot for muddy-paw rinses
Dog-friendly cafes, parks & patios — walking distance
Lincolnville has more dog-welcoming patios than any other St. Augustine neighborhood. You won’t need to leave your dog at the rental for dinner.
Crave Food Truck Park
Six trucks, picnic tables, large dog-friendly patio. Kids and dogs run, adults eat.
Bog Brewing Co.
Lincolnville’s neighborhood taproom. Dog-friendly patio with water bowls already on the floor.
The Floridian patio
Southern farm-to-table with a covered patio that welcomes well-mannered dogs. Reserve for dinner.
Bayfront seawall
Mile-long leashed walk along the Matanzas River with the Bridge of Lions in view.
Anastasia dog beach
Off-leash dog beach at the southern end of Anastasia State Park. Bring a long lead and a towel; we provide the towel.
Vilano off-leash beach
Less crowded alternative. Off-leash all day, hard-packed sand for tired senior dogs.
Simple rules, no surprises
Two dogs maximum
Any size, any breed, no breed restrictions. If your dog is over 80 pounds, send a photo so we know what to expect.
$100 per dog, flat
Per stay, not per night. Covers extra cleaning and welcome amenities. Disclosed in the booking total before checkout — no surprise fees.
Off the bedding
Dogs welcome on sofa (with the throw), not on the beds. Hotel-grade linens, expensive to replace.
Crate or stay-in policy
If you leave the home for more than two hours, please crate or arrange a sitter. Local dog walker contact in the welcome book.
Yard supervision
The fence is good but not a confinement guarantee. Don’t leave dogs alone in the yard.
Cleanup
Yard waste bags by the back door. We’ll never charge for honest accidents — just give us a heads-up at checkout.
Why pet owners prefer booking direct
Booking direct on this site — rather than through Airbnb — saves 15-20% on the same dates. For a five-night stay with two dogs, that’s often the cost of an extra dinner out plus the dog beach trip. Same calendar, same property, same host who answers WhatsApp in under thirty minutes. Hospitable handles payment securely; the calendar syncs to Airbnb in under sixty seconds, so you never end up double-booked.

Lincolnville — the historic neighborhood your dog will love
The pet-friendly part is half the story. Lincolnville is also St. Augustine’s most walkable historic neighborhood — eight minutes to the Castillo, twelve to St. George Street, and a National Register district with 450 years of layered history.

What dog parents ask first.
How many dogs can I bring to the rental?
Up to two dogs are welcome. The fenced front yard works for most breeds; if your dog is over 80 pounds or a known escape artist, send a photo before booking and we'll talk through what works.
Is there a pet fee?
Yes — $100 per dog, flat rate for the full stay (not per night). The fee covers extra cleaning and the welcome amenities: water bowl, dog towel, throw blanket for the sofa, and a printed list of nearby dog-friendly restaurants and parks.
Is the yard fully fenced?
The front yard is fenced on three sides with a 4-foot wood fence. The fourth side faces the front porch and street — most dogs respect the porch line, but for jumpers or sprinters we recommend a leash for the first hour while they settle.
Are dogs allowed on the furniture?
We provide a washable throw blanket for the sofa specifically so dogs can join family movie night. Beds are off-limits — the bedding is hotel-grade and replacing it is expensive. Most guests honor this without issue.
Where can I walk my dog in St. Augustine?
Lincolnville is a residential neighborhood with sidewalks, oak shade, and friendly neighbors who say hello to the dog before they say hello to you. For longer walks: the Bayfront seawall (12 minutes), Anastasia State Park dog beach (20-minute drive), and Vilano Beach off-leash area (15-minute drive).
Are there dog-friendly restaurants nearby?
Yes — Lincolnville has more dog-friendly patios than any other St. Augustine neighborhood. Reach The Floridian, Crave Food Truck Park, Bog Brewing, and Hyppo Gourmet Ice Pops on foot. We leave a printed list on the kitchen counter the day you arrive.
Is the property safe for puppies or anxious dogs?
It is. The street is residential and quiet — no through traffic, no loud bars next door. The fence keeps small dogs contained. We've hosted nervous rescues, three-legged seniors, and a few puppies in their first week home with their families. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, message us and we'll send you the quietest walking routes.
